Getting through a sprained tendon is pretty boring. I overworked my wrist from doing pole, drawing and work and now I have to keep off it. This really sucks.I’m two weeks into this and my wrist still can’t bear my weight. It’s better, but not perfect. :( To say the least, it’s discouraging but I’m finding ways to keep practicing with my good arm. (Which is my left — the weak side.)I’ll get back up there as soon as I can. Never give up!Note: I also made prints available for purchase. I received enough interest from my readers to put this together. So, thank you! Thank you for your support. :)
I strained the FCU tendon in my right wrist. As a result, the swelling is pressing my nerve. (Imagine how it feels when you hit the “funny bone” in your elbow. It feels like that but duller and annoying.) So, I gotta wear a brace until it’s healed. That means, NO POLE, NO YOGA, NO DRAWING. WTF! That’s like… everything in my life!
My vacation over the weekend help to keep me off the computer and away from a sketchbook and today, on my 4th day of rest, I tried to do some light sketching to get some strength back. Zilch. It’s like having a pillow tied around your forearm. :(
I hurt myself in pole by overworking my wrist for too long. It didn’t hurt right away, so I dove right into my day-job which involved heavy typing. It aggravated the tendon and being the doctor hating person that I am, I waited a whole week before I decided to go to urgent care.
I gotta stop trying to tough shit out and take care of myself better. Or else I’ll lose everything I love doing in life. Well, besides sex anyway.
